High Security Vehicles
I learned a lot about cars when I lost the keys to my 2008 Ford Escape. I was referred to Key 4 Less locksmith by a friend who had locked herself out of her car a couple weeks earlier. She was satisfied with their service, so when I called her, she knew who to recommend. I had no idea that there were different types of car keys. I really didn’t know that my car had a higher level of security known as a coded engine immobilizer system and used a “transponder key.” Furthermore, I learned that these keys need to be programmed by a locksmith technician with the right equipment. Without the key being programmed my car’s “brain” won’t recognize the key and will not start the car. I also learned that previously, I might have HAD to go to the auto dealer, which is always expensive and time-consuming.
Luckily, when I called Key 4 Less, the technician said he could meet me the same day. In under an hour, he arrived to my door to cut and program my new key. I must admit, I was a little excited because he also really cute (hehehe!). As he was preparing a new key for me, I found out a little bit more about cars. He told me that in addition to transponder chip keys, there’s other coded engine immobilizer systems like GM VAT systems, and laser cut keys. I was impressed that he was able to make all these new keys. It’s a real skilled trade that I was unaware of before. I even looked inside the locksmith’s van. It was filled with interesting tools and high tech machinery to create keys. During our conversation, I found out that serves the entire Bay Area and cuts nearly 35 car keys per week, not including car lock outs and other locksmith services. I was impressed and even happier when he handed me the new, working car key!
I will keep this locksmith’s number and refer him to anyone needing fast, professional and friendly locksmith services. Who know, I may even lock my keys in my car and purpose and call him to come rescue me again
